Watermark Image: One Corner Mark or a Pattern Across the Whole Picture
Put your name or logo on a batch of pictures before they go out. Drag the mark where you want it, repeat it across the picture to make it hard to crop away, and keep the files on your own computer throughout.
Drag the mark to move it, or click where it should go. With the picture selected, the arrow keys nudge it and Shift moves it further. The pattern covers the whole picture. Change Space between and Turn to set it.

A changed setting does every picture again. Settings are kept in this browser for next time.
Pictures and logo files are read and marked inside this page and are not uploaded. Your settings and the saved marks you create, which hold settings only and never the logo file, stay in this browser.
Protecting pictures you are about to send out
A photographer sends proofs, a shop owner shares product shots with a reseller, a designer posts a draft. Each case wants the picture to be seen but not lifted. A mark across the image does that job.
Drop the pictures in. A live stage shows the first one with the mark drawn on it. Change a setting and the stage updates, then the full size files follow a moment later. Drag the mark with the mouse, or click where it should go. With the picture selected, the arrow keys nudge it and Shift moves it further.
Decisions to make before you start
- Decide who the picture is for. A client proof can carry a loud tiled mark. A portfolio shot needs something quieter.
- Pick a colour that stands out against the picture. White with a soft shadow reads on most photos, and black on a box suits pale ones.
- Choose the placement away from the main subject unless the mark must be hard to remove.
- Save the final look as a named mark, so every later batch matches.
Text mark or logo mark
| Choice | Controls you get |
|---|---|
| Text | Your words (the starting text is a copyright sign and Your name), five fonts (sans, sans heavy, serif, serif italic, mono), size from 1 to 15 percent of the picture, white or black, and four styles: soft shadow, plain, outline or on a box |
| A logo | Choose a PNG, SVG, JPG or WebP file, width from 5 to 80 percent, and colour as it is, all white or all black |
A logo with a see-through background works best. The page does not store your logo file. It only remembers the file name.
Place it once, or repeat it
Layout has two choices. Once puts the mark at one of nine spots, from top left to bottom right, or wherever you drag it. Repeat across the picture covers everything.
- Space between: 2 to 40 percent, starting at 12.
- Turn: from minus 90 to 90 degrees, with quick buttons for level, up 30 and up 45.
- Opacity: 10 to 100, starting at 60.
A single corner mark looks tidy but is easy to crop out. A tiled mark is harder to remove but is also more distracting, so lower the opacity until the picture is still pleasant to look at.
Saving the marked files
Choose the same type as the original, or JPG, PNG or WebP. Quality runs from 50 to 100, starting at 85. You can cap the largest side at 2560, 1920, 1280 or 1080 pixels, which is handy for proofs, since a smaller file is less useful to anyone who wants to reuse it.
Photo details can be removed, kept without the place, or kept. Remove them when the picture goes to people you do not know.
Saved marks and batches
Name the current mark and press Save this mark, and it appears in the Use a saved mark list next time. Delete this saved mark removes it. These saves hold your settings, such as text, size and angle, not any picture.
For a batch, set the mark on the first picture, check the rest in the list at full size, then use Download all as ZIP. A different composition needs a different position, so portrait and landscape files may need two passes.
If the pictures are meant for your own site, resize them to the displayed size first. Our speed guide for small sites explains why oversized pictures slow a page down.
Frequently asked questions
Is a watermark enough to stop copying?
It makes copying less attractive, but it cannot stop it. A tiled mark with a turn is harder to remove than one in a corner.
Can I use my logo instead of text?
Yes. Switch to A logo, choose a PNG, SVG, JPG or WebP file, and set its width and colour. A see-through background looks best.
How do I move the mark?
Drag it on the stage, click where it should go, or use the arrow keys when the picture is selected. Shift moves it in bigger steps.
Does the page keep my logo?
No. Saved marks keep settings only, plus the file name. You will choose the logo file again next time.
Can I mark a whole folder?
Yes. Drop the pictures, set the mark once, and download everything as a ZIP.
Can I stop the mark from covering the middle?
Choose Once and pick a corner, or lower the opacity of a tiled mark. The size slider also makes it smaller.
Will the mark be the same size on small and large pictures?
Text and logo sizes are set as a percent of the picture, so the mark scales with each file in a batch.
