QR Code Generator with Logo, Styling and Many Codes at Once
Choose what the code should do, type it in, and the code appears at once. Then change the dots, corners, colours and frame, add a logo, and save it as PNG, SVG or PDF.
Scanning opens this page. Works for any site, a menu, a form, a video, a PDF you have shared or an app store link.
Need a code for each table, product or page?
An iPhone or Android camera offers to join the network when it sees this code, so guests never type the password.
Use the full number with the country code, so it works from any country.
Scanning opens a WhatsApp chat with this number, with your message ready to send. Start with the country code. Leave the number empty to let the person pick who to send the message to.
Scanning offers to save you as a contact. Fill in only what you want to share.
Fill in the name and the start. With no end time, the event lasts an hour. Phones that understand calendar codes offer to add it to the calendar, so test with your own phone before you print.
Scanning opens Google Maps at this place, in the app or in the browser, on any phone.
Many codes at once
Each line becomes its own code with the design you choose below. To name a file, start the line with the name and a comma or a tab, for example Table 3, https://example.com/t3. Up to 1,000 lines.
Your code appears here as you type.
Colours
Dots
Corners
Frame
Logo
Automatic uses Medium, or High once a logo covers the middle. Higher error correction makes a code still readable when part of it is covered or worn, and adds more squares. Your design is remembered in this browser for next time.
The code is made in your browser and what you type is never uploaded. Only the design, such as colours and shapes, is remembered on this computer. Your text and your logo are not.
A code on a menu, a poster or a van has to work for years
A QR code is often printed once and then lives on paper for a long time. That makes two things matter more than the style: the code must never stop working, and it must scan on the first try.
The codes made here are static. What you type is written into the squares themselves, so there is no redirect that can expire and nothing that tracks a scan. If the link points to your own page, you control whether it keeps working. The trade-off is that a static code cannot be edited after printing. Change the destination and you need a new code.
Every new code is read back by the page, the way a phone would read it. A small line under the code says whether it scanned, and suggests more contrast, a smaller logo or square dots if it did not.
The ten kinds of code
| Kind | Scanning it |
|---|---|
| Link | Opens a page. A bare domain gets https added |
| Text | Shows the text |
| Wi-Fi | Offers to join the network, with name, security type, password and a hidden network option |
| Starts a message with the recipient, subject and body filled in | |
| Phone | Offers to call the number |
| SMS | Starts a text with the number and message |
| Opens a chat with your message ready to send | |
| Contact | Offers to save a contact card |
| Event | Offers to add a calendar entry |
| Location | Opens a map at the address or coordinates |
For phone and WhatsApp numbers, use the full number with the country code so it works from any country. An event with no end time lasts one hour. Calendar codes are read differently by different phones, so test with your own before printing.
Styling without breaking the scan
The design panel gives you a lot of room to play, which is where scanning problems begin. These are the controls and the sensible limits.
- Dots. Square, Soft, Rounded or Dots. Square is the safest.
- Corners. The three corner marks can be square, rounded, circle or leaf, with their own colour.
- Colours. A code colour, a Fade to colour for a gradient, and a background. Keep a strong difference between dark and light.
- Frame. None, Text, Box or Badge, with a line of frame text such as Scan to order.
- Logo. Choose, drop or paste a logo and set its size from 12 to 30 percent of the code.
- Border. Standard, Thin or None. Leave a quiet space around the code if you can.
If you need a card with contact details on the front, the business card maker can put a code on the back for you.
Error correction and file sizes
Error correction lets a code stay readable when part of it is covered or worn. The choices are Automatic, Low at 7 percent, Medium at 15, Quartile at 25 and High at 30. A higher level adds more squares, so the code looks busier. Automatic uses Medium, and moves to High once a logo covers the middle.
For the download, PNG comes in 512, 1024, 2048 and 4096 pixel sizes, where 2048 or 4096 suits print. SVG and PDF are vector files that stay sharp at any size, so they are the right choice for signs and packaging. Copy puts the text on the clipboard and Copy picture puts the image there.
Many codes at once
The Many codes at once button turns a list into a ZIP. Put one entry on each line, up to 1,000 lines. To name each file, start the line with a name, then a comma or tab, then the content, for example Table 3, followed by a link. Open a CSV or TXT loads a list from a file. Pick PNG, SVG or both for the files in the ZIP, and every code uses the design you set.
Restaurants number tables this way, shops tag products, and events make one code per room. If the codes lead to pages on your own site, plan those pages as carefully as the codes. Our guide to landing page structure that converts helps with the page a scan lands on.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They are static, so the text is stored in the squares and nothing sits in between. They work for as long as the thing they point to works.
Can I track scans?
No. A static code sends people straight to the destination, so there is nothing that counts scans. Use tracking tags on the link itself if you need numbers.
Can I add my logo?
Yes. Add it in the Logo part of the design panel and set its size. The tool then raises error correction, and the read-back check tells you if the code still scans.
How big should I print a QR code?
Print a test at the real size and scan it from the real distance with more than one phone. Larger is easier to scan, and the vector SVG or PDF stays sharp.
Can I make codes for 200 tables?
Yes. Switch to Many codes at once, paste one line for each, and download the ZIP. You can name each file by starting the line with a name and a comma.
Is my link or text uploaded?
No. The code is made in your browser. The design is remembered on this computer, but your text and logo are not.
